Best Beginnings Preschool introduces children to developmentally appropriate theme-based concepts that enhance each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. This curriculum provides each child an opportunity to learn by doing activities at his or her own pace, while developing positive self-esteem and curiosity.
There are two different classes, and most children are accepted into classes prior to fall's start, however children are accepted anytime during the school year if openings become available.
3&4 Year Olds - Tuesdays & Thursdays
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
We will mainly focus on social interaction and emotional growth. This is the time where they will learn to take turns, follow directions, develop self-confidence, and explore all aspects of the classroom. We will learn these things by having circle time, group and individual time, and free play. We will also learn and review colors and shapes as well as introduce letters, sounds, numbers and counting. Whether we learn these by playdough, shaving cream, art, or the sensory table, once these skills are learned the next step to the pre-kindergarten class will be even more exciting!
Pre-K - Monday, Wednesday, & Friday
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
The pre-kindergarten class will stay busy and active as they prepare for kindergarten. First, we will be reviewing shapes and colors and then focusing on the skills they will be expected to know before entering the kindergarten classroom. Academic areas that we will focus on include: language, math, science, art and music. While we will be focusing on these skills, free play is also very important.
Best Beginnings Preschool will help prepare your child for success. It is my goal that your child will step into kindergarten with self-confidence, a healthy self-esteem and the love of learning!
